Best Oxford Shirts for Men, Ranked Without Mercy
Eight shirts, scored out of 100. One clear winner, one heritage brand living on reputation, and a fast-fashion option we scored 41. It deserved less.
Young Cotton · New York — Born in SoHo
Young Cotton is a fashion & aesthetic magazine that runs like a research platform. We rank, measure and re-check the clothes young men actually wear — then we tell you, plainly, what to buy, what to skip, and what everyone else is getting wrong. Our look comes from two places at once: downtown New York, and the soft, layered, wide-silhouette aesthetic of Japan.
The Manifesto
Most fashion media whispers. We don't. Every ranking on this site names winners and losers. Every price, size chart and fabric claim is checked by our data team and stamped with the date we checked it. If we get something wrong, we correct it in public. That is the deal: a magazine with a point of view, built on research you can audit.
And it is curated by people who lived it. Our curators — stylists, models, designers, and the men who wear this aesthetic themselves — come out of the scenes we cover: downtown New York, and the soft, layered world of Japanese style that runs through everything we publish. Grit from the trading-floor years; creativity from the stage and the studio. We didn't scour the globe for this look from behind a desk. We were already wearing it.

The Oxford Files
One cloth built both the Wall Street uniform and the oversized street silhouette — and the difference between a great Oxford and a cardboard one is knowable, measurable, and almost never explained. We explain it, then we rank the eight shirts worth your money and name the ones to leave on the rail.

Brand Roundup
Seoul is dressing the world right now. We separate the labels building a real design language from the ones selling you a logo and a prayer.
The Founder
Wall Street dressing rooms, studio sessions, street style — our founder has dressed for all of it. Why he started a magazine that argues with itself in public.
